Garbage Tuna

Updated: Oct 25, 2021

This is about as close to a salad as I get. It was created and named by my lovely mother. This is my favorite version of it. Perfect for the warmer weather we finally get to enjoy!

Ingredients

2 cans of tuna (I prefer Skipjack)

1 bag of broccoli slaw

1 c carrots, shredded

1/2 c nuts or seeds (I like cashews or pecans best)

1/4 c dried cranberries or cherries

1 granny smith apple, chopped

1 avocado, chopped

3-4 strips of bacon, cooked and chopped

Dressing Options

1. Balsamic vinegar and olive oil, to your taste

2. Homemade mayo

3. Primal Kitchen's Mayo.

Throw it all in a large bowl, dress it and enjoy!
