Digestive Enzymes

Updated: Dec 24, 2018

Every time you eat something you body releases digestive enzymes to break the food down so it can be properly utilized by the body. This break down begins in your mouth (so, properly chew your food!) and continues through the digestive tract.

Some of us can't properly break down all of the food we eat. For one reason or another, we don't respond well to it. In this case we probably should avoid it to reduce our reaction to it. However, there are times when we are exposed to these foods. That's when I suggest using a digestive enzyme. It will help break down these foods reducing adverse reactions to the offending food. It's not something I recommend becoming reliant on, but it's great for when you need it.
